Woman and her failings
TYRRELL, Henry

Category: Ephemera

Place/Publisher/Date:
London Holyoake & Co. 1857.

Description:

First edition; 8vo; modern grey boards, printed paper label to spine. Henry Tyrrell was an historian known for his studies and expertise on Russian history and wars with Russia, but had interesting views on the position pf women in Society. 'I love women so sincerely, and admire them so much' Tyrrell tells us in his introduction, yet what follows paints women as selfish, superstitious and fit only for domestic responsibilities. Very good.
