Real photograph postcard of Coign, Hook Heath, Woking, the home of Dame Ethel Smyth, 1858-1944, Composer & Suffragette. The card is inscribed and signed on both sides, 'Coign: home of Ethel Smyth and Pan IV'. In May 1913 Emmeline Pankhurst was re-arrested, at the garden gate Coign, where she had been recuperating following a hunger strike. Fine.
