Eleven ink sketches and one in pencil; 18cm by 14cm. Each sketch is annotate. Subjects include 'Putting up Camouflage in the rain' , 'Sunday afternoon Billets', 'Troop Ship Deck', 'Yanks halted'. An attractive and amusing set of drawings executed in northern Europe following the D-Day landings in 1944. Together with brief a post war diary of the same soldiers service in the Far East, leading up to his demobilisation in October 1945. Fine, housed in a contemporary card box.
