Description: 2pp; 8vo; to a Miss Coombs. In response to a request for information on Sherston Country. Sassoon writes that he was unable to write earlier as he has been working on a book on George Meredith and looking after his 10 1/2 year old son during his holidays. He states that is 'rather hard work for a tired sexagenarian'. He goes onto to give an itinerary for a 'pilgrimage to Sherston Country'. 'The places are still quite nice, but not as they were in the old days, when really sleepy and countrified. Very good, folds and remains of original envelope.
