Description: First combined edition; 12mo; original cloth boards. No more than 500 copies of this edition were issued. The first edition sheets of the two books with their original title leaves excised and new half titles and title leaf for the volume were inserted. 500 copies of the new titles were printed by the Chiswick Press. The rare occurrence of the composite volume in comparison with its separate components indicates that fewer than the intended number were actually issued. Gallup A3b. Very good, with some foxing to the edge of the text block and to some pages. A lovely copy.
