Description: First edition; 4to; original cloth boards and dust jacket. With essays by Herbert Read, John Rothenstein, E.H. Ramsden and Philip James. 132 illustrations, including 20 tipped in colour plates. The book was planned by Nash himself, and redesigned by the editor and Margaret Nash on the painter's death. A beautiful copy, the book itself is fine and the only faults to the dust jacket are a short tear to the foot of the front panel and very slight wear to the head and foot of the spine.
