Description: Limited edition; small folio; original quarter leather patterned boards and with a facsimile of the Christmas folder. The book and folder are contained in a cloth-covered solander box. Edition of 811, this is one of 61 copies of the Special Edition of which 50 were for sale. Introductory essay by John O'Connor. The book includes 142 engravings, three monochrome lithographs and eight etchings/engravings on metal. For Christmas 1919, John Nash gave a folder of twelve prints to his brother Paul. These engravings have been reproduced, with nine of them being printed from the original blocks: the remaining three being printed from line blocks. Greenwood states that these engravings have "a freshness and vigour less evident in the later work." Fine, the box is a little faded to the spine and the extremities of the front panel.
