Description: First edition; 4to; original paper covered boards, grey cloth spine with black lettering; dust jacket. Inscribed by the author and photographer on the title page to Leonard Clark. Clark was a poet, editor and critic, who reviewed Hughes' first two collections of poetry and became a close friend. Hughes' inscription reads, "For Leonard all the best from Ted. Towers fall and dunghills rise./The skylines still embrace the skies. June 1979". In addition Hughes has added in manuscript ten lines to Grouse-Butts on page 60 and made a correction to page 89. Fine in fine dust jacket.
